Saudi–Ukrainian Defense Agreement

The Saudi Ministry of Defense and its Ukrainian counterpart signed, today in Jeddah, a memorandum of arrangements related to defense procurement, in a step reflecting enhanced cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector.
The agreement was signed on the Saudi side by the Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Biyari, and on the Ukrainian side by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, General Andrii Hnatov.
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, had met yesterday in Jeddah with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During the meeting, bilateral relations were reviewed, in addition to discussing regional and international developments, particularly the military escalation in the Middle East and the latest developments in the Ukrainian crisis.
