The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s firm condemnation of the repeated Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom, Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and a number of Arab and Islamic states, stressing that such actions constitute a blatant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness.
The Ministry stated that the continued targeting of civilian entities, vital facilities, and diplomatic premises within the Kingdom reflects a systematic hostile behavior that contradicts the principles of international relations, and reveals a clear discrepancy between Iran’s statements and its actions on the ground.
It further emphasized that these attacks will lead to further escalation and will negatively impact bilateral relations, both at present and in the future.
Sovereign Measure
In a firm diplomatic step, the Kingdom announced:
The expulsion of the military attaché at the Iranian Embassy
His assistant
And three members of the diplomatic mission
Declaring them persona non grata, and requiring them to leave the Kingdom within 24 hours.
A Clear Message
The Kingdom stressed that it will not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect:
Its security
Its sovereignty
Its territory
And its citizens and residents
In accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
