Saudi Arabia Announces: Friday is Eid Al-Fitr

The Royal Court, citing the Supreme Court, announced that Friday, March 20, 2026, will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr for the year 1447 AH, following the non-sighting of the Shawwal crescent on Wednesday evening.

Friday, March 20, 2026: First day of Eid Al-Fitr
The decision was based on the absence of a confirmed crescent sighting, in accordance with the Prophetic tradition of completing Ramadan as thirty days.
