43 Million Worshippers Visit the Two Holy Mosques in 10 Days

Makkah | BETH – 12 Ramadan 1447 AH | March 1, 2026

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced that the total number of worshippers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during the first ten days of Ramadan 1447 AH reached 43,840,961 visitors, according to operational indicators measuring total entries to prayer areas and Umrah performance.

The Authority stated that the Grand Mosque in Makkah received 23,839,592 worshippers who performed the five daily prayers and night (Qiyam) prayers, in addition to 8,110,498 Umrah performers during the same period.

At the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, the number of worshippers performing the five daily prayers and Qiyam prayers reached 10,789,467, while 317,025 worshippers prayed in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah. A total of 784,379 visitors also conveyed greetings to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his two companions (may Allah be pleased with them).

The Authority affirmed that these figures reflect the high operational readiness and the integrated services system provided to visitors of the Two Holy Mosques during Ramadan, ensuring smooth movement and a safe, spiritually enriching environment for worshippers and pilgrims.
