saudi industry minister inaugurates industrial projects in sudair

Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef inaugurated several advanced manufacturing facilities at Sudair Industrial and Business City, covering food processing, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and construction materials, as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to localize high-value industries and strengthen food and health security.

The tour included the inauguration of Comel Pharmaceutical Industries, supporting the localization of pharmaceutical manufacturing; Al Hatab Chilled Foods Plant, the largest of its kind in the Middle East with a production capacity exceeding 6 million units per week; Sierra Life, a specialized facility producing medical nutrition for metabolic disorders; and Ezzam Medical Industries, manufacturing orthopedic medical products using advanced technologies, including 3D printing.

The minister also inaugurated the Specialized Boards and Construction Industries plant, with an investment of SAR 100 million and an annual production capacity of 200,000 linear meters of insulated panels, in addition to launching the ready-built factories project at Sudair, aimed at strengthening industrial infrastructure, empowering investors and enhancing national supply chains.

The visit comes as part of the ministry’s broader efforts to position Saudi Arabia as a regional and global industrial hub, through the development of industrial cities, attraction of high-quality investments, and support for the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
