Riyadh Opens UPS Operations Hub
Riyadh | BETH – Feb 4, 2026
Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Saleh Al-Jasser inaugurated the UPS authorized agent’s operations hub at the Cargo Village of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, in the presence of Acting President of the Transport General Authority Rumaih Al-Rumaih and senior logistics sector officials.
The new facility serves as an advanced air cargo gateway and a specialized center for shipment handling and customs clearance, strengthening Saudi Arabia’s direct connectivity to UPS’s global network through daily cargo flights. The move supports Riyadh’s positioning as a global logistics hub in line with Vision 2030.
Al-Jasser said the continued expansion of leading global logistics companies in Riyadh enhances overall logistics service quality and sector competitiveness, noting that Saudi air cargo volumes grew 34% last year to reach 1.2 million tons.
Operated by Erad, UPS’s authorized agent in Saudi Arabia, the 10,000-sq.-meter facility is equipped with automated systems capable of processing more than 3,000 parcels per hour, with additional expansion planned this year. The hub is expected to meet rising demand for air and ground freight, improve transit times, and enhance shipment tracking and customs clearance.
