Saudi Ministry of Industry Launches Second Cohort of Innovation Program
Riyadh | BETH – February 3, 2026
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has launched the second intake of innovative ideas under the Industrial and Mining Innovative Products Program, as part of efforts to stimulate innovation and empower innovators in the industrial and mining sectors, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
The program aims to support innovators and entrepreneurs throughout the innovation journey—from idea development to transforming concepts into market-ready products—while connecting participants with universities, research centers, and business incubators and accelerators to build a sustainable innovation ecosystem.
The second cohort builds on the success of the first, which received 63 ideas, with 16 qualifying for the service-provider linkage stage, including 10 ideas that were developed and applied in real industrial environments.
The ministry said applications will be submitted electronically via the program’s platform, focusing on scalable ideas across strategic sectors such as industry, mining, renewable energy, medical and food industries, chemicals, automotive and components, construction materials, and biotechnology.
Submissions will be accepted until February 28, 2026, and are open to individuals, entrepreneurs, students, small and medium-sized enterprises, and academic institutions.
BETH Insight:
The program reflects a practical approach to linking innovation with production, transforming ideas into industrial and mining value that strengthens local content and knowledge localization.
