Saudi Cabinet Reaffirms Regional Positions, Approves Package of Agreements

Chaired by Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Saudi Cabinet reviewed recent consultations held by the Kingdom with a number of friendly and allied countries regarding regional and international developments, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s firm positions and its support for dialogue-based solutions to enhance security and stability.

The Cabinet stressed the content of the joint statement issued by Saudi Arabia and Arab and Islamic foreign ministers condemning Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire, emphasizing the need to consolidate the truce and advance toward the second phase of the peace plan, leading to a just and comprehensive peace and the establishment of a Palestinian state.

On regional affairs, the Cabinet welcomed the response of the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces to Saudi-led and U.S.-supported efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement, expressing hope that it would contribute to Syria’s security, stability, and national unity.

The Cabinet also reviewed outcomes of major international meetings hosted by the Kingdom, including the second ministerial meeting of the Middle East Green Initiative, which approved the accession of new members, bringing total membership to 35 countries, and endorsed steps toward the operational phase, including targets to plant over 22 billion trees and rehabilitate 92 million hectares.

In addition, the Cabinet praised the results of the International Conference on Capacity Building in Data and Artificial Intelligence, as well as the Future Real Estate Forum and the Saudi Media Forum, highlighting their role in advancing national sectors and supporting digital and economic transformation.

The session concluded with the approval of a package of agreements and memoranda of understanding covering international cooperation, aviation services, postal services, the Arabic language, counterterrorism, and audit and oversight cooperation, alongside the endorsement of the National Policy for the Arabic Language and a number of appointments and promotions.
