The 19th edition of the Al Jouf International Olive Festival officially opened with strong public attendance, reaffirming its role as a platform that brings together agriculture, culture, and tourism, while highlighting Al Jouf’s growing prominence in the olive industry and related products.
From the early hours of the opening day, large crowds gathered at the Prince Abdulilah Cultural Center in Sakaka to attend the official ceremony, which featured cultural and artistic performances, live music platforms, and “Olive Expo” sessions showcasing the quality of this season’s local production and the rapid development of the region’s olive industry.
Following a successful opening, the festival’s second day will offer an extended program running late into the night, including the Olive Kitchen, where live cooking experiences highlight the use of olive oil in international cuisines, alongside international artistic performances blending local folklore with global acts.
Activities also continue in the productive families zone, supporting handicrafts and home-based products, in addition to e-gaming activities and music platforms providing entertainment for youth and families until 11:00 p.m. Government pavilions are also present throughout the evening, offering awareness-driven and interactive services to visitors.
This year’s festival is supported by broad strategic partnerships and the participation of major national companies, including Al Jouf Agricultural Company and NADEC, further reinforcing Al Jouf’s position as one of the Kingdom’s leading olive-producing regions at both the local and international levels.
