The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has launched the Intellectual Property Guide for Industrial and Mining Enterprises, aimed at raising awareness of intellectual property rights and outlining the mechanisms for their registration and protection.

This initiative comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to stimulate innovation, research, and development in the industrial and mining sectors, while providing a regulatory environment that safeguards innovators’ rights and enhances investor confidence in the stability of intellectual assets.

The Ministry explained that the guide serves as a comprehensive practical reference, introducing key intellectual property concepts and detailing registration procedures with the relevant authorities, in line with national regulations and international standards. It also supports enterprises in adopting internal policies that protect their intellectual assets and reduce associated legal risks.

The Ministry emphasized that protecting intellectual property rights is a fundamental element in preserving intangible assets and represents one of the key enablers of growth, innovation, and creativity.

Intellectual property holds particular importance in the industrial and mining sectors due to its role in enabling enterprises to convert innovative ideas and outputs into legally protected assets. This enhances market entry capabilities, increases the market value of products and services, supports the development of strong commercial reputations, and contributes to attracting quality investments and strengthening confidence in the investment environment.
