His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received today in Riyadh His Excellency Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and discussed ways to further develop them in a manner that serves their mutual interests. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments of common concern.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and National Security Advisor; and His Excellency Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the People’s Republic of China.

On the Chinese side, the meeting was attended by Mr. Chen Weiqing, Director-General of the West Asia and North Africa Department at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Zhang Hua, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a related context, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister received a written message from His Excellency President Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, pertaining to bilateral relations between the two countries.

The message was received by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his meeting today at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh with His Excellency Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the People’s Republic of China, and Mr. Nasser Al-Ghanoum, Director-General of the General Department for Asian Countries.
