The Saudi Ports Authority “MAWANI” announced the addition of the new maritime shipping service “JEBEL ALI MIDDLE EAST EXPRESS”, operated by CMA CGM, to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. This step enhances the competitiveness of Saudi ports on the global maritime transport map, supports the smooth flow of international trade, and increases operational efficiency.

The new service connects King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam with:

Shuwaikh Port – Kuwait

Khalifa Bin Salman Port – Bahrain

Khalifa Port – Abu Dhabi

with a handling capacity of 2,202 TEUs, offering broader logistical options for exporters and importers and strengthening regional maritime connectivity.

This initiative comes as part of MAWANI’s efforts to improve the Kingdom’s ranking in global logistics performance indicators, and to enhance operational efficiency at King Abdulaziz Port in support of national exports. It also aligns with the targets of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub and a strategic link between three continents.

King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam plays a vital role in connecting the Kingdom to global economies. It features advanced infrastructure and integrated logistics facilities, comprising 43 fully equipped berths, with a total capacity of 105 million tons of cargo and containers—making it an attractive hub for major international companies.
