The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the issuance of 45,595 Certificates of Origin during October 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to support exporters and facilitate procedures across the industrial and commercial sectors, in addition to individual exporters.

The Ministry’s spokesperson, Jarrah Al-Jarrah, explained that the Certificate of Origin is an essential document confirming that exported products are of national origin or have acquired national origin status. The service targets industrial establishments, commercial companies, and individuals, including farmers, fishermen, craftsmen, and other independent operators.

The Certificate of Origin includes four main templates:

Certificate of Origin for GCC National Products

Certificate of Origin for Arab National Products (for Arab countries)

Preferential Certificate of Origin (the unified GCC model) for exports to countries and economic blocs with which GCC states have free trade agreements

Certificate of Origin in Arabic and English for countries that do not grant preferential treatment (General Model)

Al-Jarrah added that applications for the Certificate of Origin can be submitted electronically through the Ministry’s website via the link:
