Saudi–Bahraini Coordination Council: Enduring Brotherhood

In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and in affirmation of the historic ties between the two nations, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, chaired today in Manama the fourth meeting of the Saudi–Bahraini Coordination Council, attended by committee heads and members from both sides.
Welcome and Enduring Brotherhood
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed the Crown Prince, praising the deep-rooted historical relations between the two brotherly nations.
For his part, the Crown Prince expressed his pleasure in visiting Bahrain and meeting His Majesty the King and the Crown Prince, emphasizing the Saudi leadership’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing relations across all fields.
Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding
The meeting witnessed the signing of nine agreements and memoranda of understanding, reflecting the depth of the strategic partnership between the two countries. These include:
1. Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection
Between the Saudi Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission and Bahrain’s Supreme Council for the Environment.
2. Diplomatic Cooperation
Between the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies and the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies.
3. Avoidance of Double Taxation
Between Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment and Bahrain’s Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
4. Sustainable Development Cooperation
Between Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Economy and Planning and Bahrain’s Ministry of Sustainable Development.
5. Competition Protection
Between the Saudi General Authority for Competition and Bahrain’s Authority for the Encouragement and Protection of Competition.
6. Promotion of Direct Investment
Between the Saudi Ministry of Investment and Bahrain’s Ministry of Sustainable Development.
7. Transport and Railway Cooperation
Between Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the Saudi Railway Polytechnic (SRP).
8. Academic Collaboration
Between King Saud University and the University of Bahrain.
9. Development of the Nonprofit Sector
Between the Saudi National Center for Nonprofit Sector Development and Bahrain’s Ministry of Social Development.
Closing: A Renewed Partnership
Their Royal Highnesses expressed their appreciation for the efforts and organization of the meeting, affirming their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation to ensure continued prosperity for both nations.
Both sides agreed to hold the fifth meeting of the Saudi–Bahraini Coordination Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at a date to be determined through the Council’s General Secretariat.
