The visit comes in response to an invitation from President Trump and in accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz — may God preserve him.

President Donald Trump hosted Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in the Oval Office for a bilateral meeting, followed by the signing of agreements and an official luncheon.

Trump, during the press briefing, praised the Crown Prince as:

"A close friend who enjoys great respect in the White House."
He also commended King Salman:
"I spoke to King Salman and told him: Your son is truly remarkable."

The Crown Prince announced that Saudi Arabia will unveil joint investments with the United States ranging between $600 billion and $1 trillion, covering sectors including:

Artificial intelligence

Advanced technology

Raw materials and strategic minerals

Computing, chips, and semiconductors

He added:

"Cooperation with America creates real opportunities in artificial intelligence."
