The WTA Finals 2025 continued in Riyadh for the second consecutive year, hosted at the indoor arena of King Saud University, organized by the Saudi Tennis Federation, supervised by the Ministry of Sports, and sponsored by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
The second day witnessed continued excitement and high-level competition, as World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka secured an important straight-sets victory over Italy’s Jasmine Paolini, while American Jessica Pegula defeated compatriot Coco Gauff in the “Steffi Graf” group.
In doubles action, Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski and New Zealand’s Erin Routliffe earned a valuable win against Russia’s Mira Andreeva and Diana Shnaider, while Czech Katerina Siniakova and American Taylor Townsend overcame Brazil’s Luisa Stefani and Hungary’s Yomika Babos in the “Liezel Huber” group.
Both Sabalenka and Dabrowski expressed their delight in returning to Riyadh, praising the exceptional atmosphere, organization, and strong fan support.
Tomorrow, Monday, the competition continues with high-profile matchups — most notably Iga Świątek facing Elena Rybakina, followed by an all-American clash between Amanda Anisimova and Madison Keys, in addition to two doubles matches within the “Martina Navratilova” group.
