Saudi Cabinet Affirms Expanding Global Partnerships and Strengthening the Kingdom’s Health and Economic Leadership

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held today in Riyadh.
Strengthening Global Cooperation and Development
At the outset, the Cabinet expressed its gratitude to the leaders and heads of governments of friendly and brotherly nations for their participation in the 9th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh, emphasizing that the event embodies global visions into actionable strategies that advance joint efforts for development and prosperity worldwide.
The Cabinet reviewed the outcomes of discussions held between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and several countries, aimed at broadening cooperation across economic, investment, scientific, and technological sectors — reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a trusted and influential partner in the international arena.
Saudi–Pakistani Economic Cooperation Framework
The Cabinet highlighted the agreement between Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to launch a comprehensive Economic Cooperation Framework, building on the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two nations and paving the way for a sustainable partnership in trade and investment.
Regional and Global Affairs
The Cabinet strongly condemned the Israeli Knesset’s approval of two draft laws seeking to impose sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and illegal settlements, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s firm support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
It also welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia, reiterating the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to peaceful conflict resolution and the promotion of global security and stability.
Health, Economic, and Energy Leadership
The Cabinet praised the success of the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh, where initiatives and investments totaling SAR 124 billion were announced — a testament to the Kingdom’s growing leadership in medical innovation and healthcare excellence in alignment with Vision 2030.
It further noted the Kingdom’s hosting of the UNCTAD Global Supply Chain Forum 2026, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role in fostering global trade and logistics integration.
Domestically, the Cabinet reviewed economic indicators showing continued growth in non-oil exports and the diversification of national revenue streams.
It also lauded the launch of new renewable energy projects across the Kingdom with a total capacity of 4,500 megawatts and investments exceeding SAR 9 billion, a major step toward achieving the optimal energy mix for electricity generation by 2030.
Agreements and Strategic Decisions
The Cabinet approved a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs), including:
Cooperation with Jordan in nuclear safety and radiation protection.
Full membership in the Donor Advisory Group of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
Collaboration with India in the trade and technical exchange of the date palm and agriculture sectors.
MoUs in SMEs and entrepreneurship with India, South Africa, France, Sweden, and Singapore.
A cooperation MoU between the Saudi Human Rights Commission and the UNHCR.
A MoU between the Saudi Space Agency and Turkey on the peaceful uses of outer space.
Amendments to the Hajj Service Providers Regulation and approval of several financial and institutional reports.
The session concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to sustained development, innovation, and institutional integration, in line with the Kingdom’s long-term vision for 2030.
