His Excellency Eng. Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Jubeir, Mayor of the Eastern Province, conducted a field visit on Thursday (1 Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH) to inspect two major investment projects along Al-Khobar Corniche, accompanied by Eng. Hamdan Al-Aradi, Assistant Mayor for Investments and Revenue Development, and several senior officials from the municipality.
During the tour, His Excellency reviewed the advanced stages of two prominent projects:
🔹 Al-Othaim Circle – covering an area of over 50,000 square meters, featuring tourism and entertainment facilities, including a landmark observation point overlooking the scenic Corniche of Al-Khobar.
🔹 Bay Front Project – extending over 120,000 square meters, the first project in the region to implement the globally recognized “Blue Flag” environmental standards, ensuring sustainability, community interaction, and high-quality recreational and marine activities.
Eng. Al-Jubeir emphasized that these projects align with Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at promoting a thriving economy and attracting local, Gulf, and international investments. He highlighted the significant support from HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, and HRH Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor, under the supervision of HE Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid Al-Hogail.
He added that the Municipality has invested over 95% of its available assets through projects exceeding 30 billion SAR, which have created tens of thousands of job opportunities and revitalized the regional economy. The Corniche, he noted, is set to witness a qualitative leap through new tourism and entertainment developments that will enhance quality of life and reinforce the Eastern Province’s status as a leading tourism destination.
Eng. Al-Jubeir concluded by inviting investors and entrepreneurs to explore available opportunities via the Saudi Cities Investment Portal and the “Furas” smart application, affirming that the municipality remains committed to making the Eastern Province a premier destination for investment and tourism.
