His Excellency Bander bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, held two meetings with leaders of the International Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and executives from TDS Technology Solutions, to discuss enhancing cooperation in mining research, innovation, and advanced technologies.
The meetings took place on the sidelines of the inaugural GEOMIN 2025 Conference and Exhibition, hosted in Jeddah.

 Towards Global Scientific and Technical Partnerships

During his meeting with SEG leaders, the Minister discussed opportunities to advance collaboration in mineral exploration research, and to exchange best global practices in geophysical survey applications.
The talks also covered capacity-building programs for human capital in geological and exploration fields, as well as future plans for the GEOMIN Conference as a key international platform for scientific and technical cooperation.

 Smart Solutions for a Sustainable Mining Future

In his meeting with TDS Technology Solutions, Minister Al-Khorayef explored ways to strengthen the use of advanced mining technologies, reviewing innovative smart solutions designed to boost efficiency and sustainability across the sector.
The discussions reflected the broader goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which positions technology and knowledge as pillars of industrial and economic development.

 A Global Platform for Exploration and Innovation

The meetings were attended by Eng. Abdullah bin Muftah Al-Shamrani, CEO of the Saudi Geological Survey, along with several senior leaders from the national mining ecosystem.
The inaugural GEOMIN 2025 Conference and Exhibition brings together geologists, researchers, and innovators from around the world to discuss the future of mineral exploration and the latest advancements in mining science and technology.
