First Friday Sermon in Chile Under the Supervision of Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs

Under the guidance and supervision of H.E. Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, the first Friday sermon in Chile was held today, 4 Rabi’ Al-Akhir 1447 AH, at Al-Salam Mosque in Santiago, delivered by Sheikh Dr. Fahd Faraj Al-Juhani. The sermon was organized in conjunction with the launch of the first scientific program ever to be held in Chile, organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the Islamic Center in Santiago.

Direct Religious Engagement in Latin America

This milestone reflects the Ministry’s commitment to direct engagement with Muslims in Latin America, enhancing its religious and educational presence, and reinforcing the values of moderation and balance, in line with its global mission of promoting the true message of Islam.

Objectives of the First Scientific Program

The program aims to:

Train imams, preachers, and Islamic center staff with sound Sharia knowledge.

Highlight the virtues and values of Islam.

Address intellectual misconceptions.

Counter deviant and extremist ideologies.

Promote tolerance and moderation.

Strengthen a moderate Islamic identity in Latin American communities.
