Saudi Arabia Leads AI Dialogue at the United Nations

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), is organizing a high-level international event on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80) in New York, to discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence, with the participation of global leaders and experts.

The Saudi delegation is headed by H.E. Eng. Sami bin Abdullah Muqeem, Vice President of SDAIA, accompanied by a group of senior leaders and experts. The initiative highlights the Kingdom’s growing role in shaping the future of data and AI worldwide, and reinforces its position as an influential global force in addressing technological issues tied to sustainable development.

🔹 International Partnerships:
The event is co-organized with the Republic of Kenya and the United Nations, featuring main sessions under the themes: “AI for the Public Good”, “The Global Digital Compact”, “Innovation and the Inclusive Digital Economy”, and “AI for Humanitarian Action”.

This participation reflects the strong support of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister and Chairman of SDAIA – may God protect him – and embodies the Kingdom’s commitment to harnessing AI and data technologies in the service of humanity and the realization of Vision 2030. It also emphasizes developing ethical and regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies and promoting international multilateral cooperation.
