The Royal Court issued the following statement today:
Based on the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, departed – may God protect him – for the State of Qatar to lead the Saudi delegation participating in the extraordinary session of the GCC Supreme Council and the extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit convened in Doha.

🔹 An Extraordinary Summit in Doha
The Qatari capital is today hosting an Arab and Islamic summit with the participation of a number of leaders to discuss ways of responding to the Israeli attack on Qatari territory.
A preparatory meeting was held last night with foreign ministers and representatives from 57 Arab and Islamic countries, during which the draft statement on the attack targeting residential compounds of Hamas leaders in Doha was discussed.

🔹 Condemnation and Escalation
The draft final communiqué strongly condemned the Israeli attack, describing it as a blatant act of aggression that undermines prospects for peace, and an assault on Qatar’s mediation efforts carried out alongside Egypt and the United States to end the war in Gaza.

The draft affirmed that the Israeli strike on a residential area that included schools, nurseries, and diplomatic missions constitutes a serious escalation threatening international peace and security, holding Israel fully responsible for its consequences.

🔹 Full Solidarity with Qatar
Foreign ministers reaffirmed their full solidarity with the State of Qatar, pledging support for all measures it may take to protect its sovereignty and security. They also praised Doha’s "civilized and wise" stance in handling the attack, its commitment to international law, and its constructive role in mediation efforts aimed at halting the Gaza war and securing the release of hostages.

🔹 Qatar’s International Standing
The statement highlighted Qatar’s humanitarian initiatives and support for education in developing countries, considering them a factor in reinforcing its status as an active player in regional and international peace and development.
