Al-Murjan Beach in Half Moon Bay, Eastern Province, has witnessed increasing turnout from visitors, thanks to its breathtaking natural scenery and unique maritime atmosphere, making it one of the most prominent tourist and recreational destinations in the region.
🔹 Comprehensive Development and Integrated Services
Eng. Faisal bin Abdulhadi Al-Qahtani, Mayor of Dhahran City, explained that the Municipality, represented by the city administration, has carried out extensive development works over an area of 108,000 m², including:
Establishing walking tracks exceeding 13,298 m², with connecting pathways covering 757 m².
Adding a plaza area of 2,866 m² and green landscapes of more than 10,000 m², along with planting over 210 trees.
Renovating two restroom buildings (757 m²) with shower facilities, and a mosque designed in the Eastern Coastal style (244 m²) with ablution and service areas.
Providing public seating areas, and a parking lot accommodating 330 vehicles.
Creating sports facilities: a football field (1,366 m²), a volleyball court (493 m²), a track and field zone (350 m²), and children’s playgrounds (225 m²).
🔹 A Safe and Enjoyable Experience
Al-Qahtani emphasized that Al-Murjan Beach is among the newly redeveloped beaches in Dhahran, prepared with complete infrastructure and services to offer visitors a safe and diverse experience—ranging from swimming and water sports to shaded seating areas and family-friendly facilities.

The beach receives continuous attention from the Eastern Province Municipality to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, reflecting its commitment to providing a sustainable recreational environment that meets the aspirations of residents and visitors, while reinforcing the Eastern Province’s position as a leading coastal destination.
