A Firm Stance on Palestine… and Multi-Billion Riyal Agreements to Strengthen Partnerships

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – chaired today’s session of the Saudi Council of Ministers, held in Riyadh.

Key Highlights of the Session:

International Engagements:

Review of the Crown Prince’s reception of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

Outcomes of phone calls with French President Emmanuel Macron and Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof.

Stance on Palestine:

The Council strongly condemned the repeated statements by the Israeli Prime Minister regarding the displacement of Palestinians.

Renewed its call to hold the occupying authorities accountable for genocide and gross violations against civilians.

Support for the Syrian People:

Launch of development projects by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) covering food security, healthcare, education, shelter, and rehabilitation to support recovery efforts.

Saudi–UK Strategic Partnership:

Announcement of 38 agreements exceeding SAR 20 billion under the “Great Futures” initiative.

Launch of a new partnership focusing on priority sectors within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030.

Global Digital Transformation:

The Council commended the outcomes of the Global Regulators Symposium on Telecommunications hosted by the Kingdom, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s leadership in shaping future digital policies.

National Economy:

Saudi GDP growth reached 3.9% in Q2 2025.

Non-oil activities contributed 56% of the total economy.

Foreign direct investment exceeded national strategy targets for the fourth consecutive year, with 24.2% growth.

Decisions Adopted:

MoU with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on the exchange of criminal information.

MoU with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in education, training, and community service.

Authorization for the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture to negotiate with Morocco on cooperation in the palm and dates sector.

Approval of the basic statute for the OIC Labor Center.

MoU with the U.S. Department of Energy on mining and mineral resources.

Adoption of the organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services.

Approval of the statute of the National Center for Transport Safety.

Addition of representatives from the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority, the Culinary Arts Commission, and the General Food Security Authority to the National Nutrition Committee.

Adoption of the final accounts of the Center for Supporting Development Authorities for a previous fiscal year.

Promotion of Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al-Zaid to the position of Senior Legal Advisor (Grade 15) at the Ministry of Justice.
