Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques presides over the cabinet session

NEOM - The Council of Ministers held its session today, Jumada Al-Awwal 14, 1442 AH, corresponding to December 29, 2020 AD - via video communication - headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, may God protect him.

At the start of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques praised and thanked God - the Almighty - for the good things that the blessed country loved, and the numbers and indicators that the state’s general budget for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH (2021) carried, reflecting the government's endeavor to continue strengthening The march of economic growth and comprehensive development in the Kingdom, reiterating his directives that this budget give priority to protecting the health and safety of citizens and residents, continuing efforts to limit the effects of the Corona pandemic on the economy, continuing work to stimulate economic growth and developing services, implementing housing programs, and development projects that provide more Job opportunities for citizens, raising the efficiency of government spending, paying attention to social protection, reducing waste and fighting corruption.

The Council of Ministers commended, after announcing the state’s general budget, what His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, may God preserve him, confirmed, of moving forward towards consolidating the gains made since the approval of (Vision 2030), and moving towards further development and progress in various fields, and what he addressed On budget priorities, continuing to develop the role of the private sector, developing promising and new sectors, implementing programs and goals of the vision, supporting local content, and the Kingdom's contributions to maintaining the stability of international energy markets, strengthening the role of the G20 in addressing economic crises, and mobilizing resources to finance programs to address the pandemic.

The Council of Ministers expressed its welcome to their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, to participate in the forty-first session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council, in the province of Al-Ula next Tuesday, wishing the Almighty to crown the work of this summit with success in promoting joint action Expanding cooperation and integration among member states in all fields, in order to fulfill the aspirations and hopes of the citizens of the GCC countries.
