✈️ Saudi Airports… July Performance Under the Spotlight

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has issued its monthly report on the performance of Saudi airports for July 2025, based on 11 key performance indicators designed to enhance service quality and improve the passenger experience.
Key Results:
Category 1 (over 15 million passengers):
▪ King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh ranked first with a compliance rate of 82%, outperforming King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah (82%).
Category 2 (5–15 million passengers):
▪ Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah took first place with 91%, followed by King Fahd International Airport in Dammam (82%).
Category 3 (2–5 million passengers):
▪ Abha International Airport secured first place with 100%, excelling in average waiting times for arrivals and departures.
Category 4 (under 2 million international passengers):
▪ Arar International Airport ranked first with 100%.
Category 5 (domestic airports):
▪ Al Qurayyat Airport led with 100%.
Evaluation Standards:
The assessment is based on 11 performance criteria, including passenger waiting times at check-in, baggage claim, passport control, and customs, in addition to accessibility standards for people with disabilities—benchmarked against global best practices.
📌 Outcome: Five Saudi airports lead July’s performance rankings, setting global standards for an enhanced passenger journey.
