Jeddah Islamic Port Welcomes New Shipping Service Connecting 5 Major Ports

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of the new shipping service "FRS1", operated by CSTAR LINE, to Jeddah Islamic Port, marking a strategic move to strengthen the port’s competitiveness, expand its global maritime network, and reinforce its status as a key logistics hub on the Red Sea.
🌍 Regional and Global Connectivity
The new service links Jeddah Islamic Port with five key regional and international ports:
Ningbo – China
Shanghai – China
Nansha – China
Aqaba – Jordan
Sokhna – Egypt
With a total capacity of 2,000 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), this service supports the growth of Saudi exports and enhances the Kingdom’s integration into global supply chains.

This initiative is part of Mawani’s broader efforts to elevate Saudi Arabia’s global logistics rankings, in line with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which positions the Kingdom as a global logistics hub connecting three continents.

Annual handling capacity of 130 million tons
62 multi-purpose berths
Two container terminals with a combined capacity of 7.5 million TEUs
