The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – chaired the Cabinet session held today in Jeddah. The session reviewed the Kingdom’s recent efforts, especially those related to strengthening cooperation and strategic partnerships with brotherly and friendly nations, in line with Vision 2030.
🌐 International Engagement & Multilateral Cooperation
The Cabinet highlighted the Kingdom’s active participation in regional and international forums, reaffirming its commitment to collective efforts that serve mutual interests and help address global challenges.
During the World Summit on the Information Society in Switzerland, the Kingdom reiterated its pledge to enhance digital cooperation and support the ITU’s goals of leveraging technology for human advancement and sustainable growth.
🌪️ Global Recognition for Environmental Efforts
The Cabinet acknowledged the praise received by the Kingdom at the UN High-Level Meeting on Sand and Dust Storms for its initiatives in environmental protection, especially in developing early warning systems and fostering scientific collaboration to mitigate the impact of dust storms.
💰 Financial Sustainability & Competitive Talent
The Cabinet commended the accomplishments of the Financial Sector Development Program and the Human Capability Development Program, which have strengthened financial sustainability and boosted the global competitiveness of Saudi talent through lifelong learning systems aligned with labor market needs.
🤖 AI in Education
The Cabinet applauded the launch of the Artificial Intelligence Curriculum in public education, aimed at equipping future generations with advanced tools, accelerating the shift toward a knowledge-based society, and cementing the Kingdom’s position in global tech leadership.
🌍 Global Tourism Leadership
Saudi Arabia ranked first globally in international tourism revenue growth in Q1 2025, reflecting the rapid development of this vital sector and the country’s growing influence in global tourism benchmarks.
📋 Key Cabinet Decisions
The session concluded with the approval of several strategic decisions and agreements:
MoU on financial cooperation with the UAE.
Two labor agreements with Somalia.
Logistics sector MoU with Denmark.
Educational evaluation MoU with the Arab Administrative Development Organization.
Amendments to laws on documentation, arbitration, and legal practice.
Establishment of the Medical Referrals Center.
Extension of the Eased Mortgage Program for three years.
Approval of final accounts for the General Entertainment Authority and the Real Estate Development Fund.
Promotions at the 14th and 15th grades in HR and Commerce ministries.
