Saudi Arabia Welcomes Ceasefire Deal… Urges All Parties to Exercise Restraint

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s welcome of the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the agreement reached to halt hostilities between the two warring parties in the region.

In an official statement, Saudi Arabia commended the efforts made to de-escalate tensions, expressing hope that the coming period would witness full commitment by all parties to the ceasefire and the renunciation of force or the threat of its use.

The statement read:

"The Kingdom hopes this agreement will contribute to restoring peace and stability to the region and help avert the dangers of continued escalation."

Saudi Arabia also reaffirmed its steadfast stance in supporting dialogue and diplomatic solutions as the preferred means to settle regional disputes—based on the principles of respecting national sovereignty and fostering security, stability, prosperity, and peace in the region and the world.
