The Crown Prince makes a phone call to the U.S. President
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, made a phone call this evening to His Excellency President Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America.
During the call, the Crown Prince conveyed the congratulations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his own congratulations to President Trump on his swearing-in and assumption of the presidency of the United States. He also expressed their wishes for the American people’s progress and prosperity under his leadership.
The call also covered discussions on ways to cooperate between the Kingdom and the United States to bring about peace, security, and stability in the Middle East, as well as enhancing bilateral cooperation in combating terrorism.
Furthermore, the conversation addressed strengthening bilateral relations in various fields. The Crown Prince emphasized the ability of President Trump's administration to create unprecedented economic prosperity in the United States through its expected reforms, and how the Kingdom seeks to benefit from the available partnership and investment opportunities. He reaffirmed the Kingdom's desire to expand its investments and trade relations with the United States over the next four years, with an amount of $600 billion, which is likely to increase if additional opportunities arise.
For his part, President Trump expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their congratulations. He affirmed his commitment to working with the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on all matters that serve their mutual interests.
