Riyadh hosts the WTA Finals

Riyadh will witness  , Saturday, November 2, 2024, the start of the "WTA Finals" tournament, hosted by the kingdom for the first time, and its competitions will continue until November 9, at the Indoor Hall of King Saud University, organized by the Saudi Tennis Federation, under the supervision of the Ministry of sports, and under the auspices of the Public Investment Fund, in an event that the kingdom will host for three consecutive years, starting this year 2024.
 

This tournament, which is the final event of the 2024 WTA Tour competitions, will witness the participation of the most skilled tennis players to compete in the league system in the "singles and doubles" categories, with prizes worth more than 15 million dollars, as the singles champion will be crowned with the Billie Jean King Cup, while the doubles champions will receive the Martina Navratilova Cup.

The 2024 WTA Finals include the best world-ranked players, where the Belarusian Arina Sabalenka-the world number one -, the Polish IGA shvyontyk - the world number two-and the 2023 titleholder, The Americans Coco Goff and Jessica Pegula, the Italian Jasmine Paolini, the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the Chinese Xing kenwen, and the Czech Barbora krychikova participate in the "singles category, along with the participation of the top 8 doubles teams in the playoffs, namely: Latvian Elena Ostapenko and Ukrainian Lyudmila Kichenok, Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and New Zealander Erin rotliv, and Xie Su-wei" Taipei- China" and Belgian Elise Mertens, Italians Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini, Americans Desirae Krawczyk and Caroline dolhide, American Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Australian Ellen Perez, Hao-Ching Chan "Taipei-China"and Russian Veronika Kudermetova, American Taylor Townsend and Czech Katerina sinyakova.
