Saudi Arabia.. The ministries of "industry" and "investment" invite mining companies to participate in the mining exploration empowerment program

The Saudi Ministry of industry and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of investment have invited mining companies and explorers from all over the world to register for the mining exploration empowerment program, as part of the kingdom's efforts to promote and develop the mining sector and turn it into the third pillar of national industries in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The mining exploration empowerment program aims to enhance exploration work, maximize the value achieved from the mining sector, expand the scope of exploration potential in the kingdom by focusing on unexplored areas, develop talents and build local skills and capabilities in the field of mineral exploration in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and develop geological knowledge by providing innovative data with international standards that contribute to the development of investment opportunities.
The Ministry of industry and Mineral Resources pointed out that there are several criteria for participation in the program, including focusing on the exploration of strategic minerals classified under Category (A) in the mining investment system, including copper, lithium, nickel, gold and iron, and exploration efforts should give priority to previously unexplored areas, in addition to companies obtaining a valid detection license in the first 5 years of license life, a track record in exploring new sites, and encouraging investors to take advantage of local service providers, which contributes to the growth of local companies and enhance the local supply chain.
The ministry has set a date starting from أبريل April to May 31, 2024 for submitting applications from investors wishing to participate in the program, provided that the winning applicants will be announced by the end of July 2024, and for more details on the requirements for joining the mining exploration empowerment program.
