Foreign Minister: King Salman is keen on the integration and unity of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan expressed the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening the power of the Gulf Cooperation Council and its mechanisms, stressing that it is possible to reach an agreement very soon to end the Gulf crisis.

Prince Faisal indicated in a speech delivered today, Saturday, during his participation in the “Manama Dialogue” forum, that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz “is keen on the integration and unity of the GCC countries.”

The minister affirmed that progress will be made in efforts to end the ongoing crisis since 2017 between Qatar and its neighbors, expressing Riyadh’s hope to reach a “final conclusion satisfactory to all parties” very soon, which is in the interest of all countries in the region.

He continued, “We seek and progress to resolve the Gulf crisis, and we hope that will happen soon.”

In response to a question about peace agreements with Israel, the Saudi Foreign Minister indicated that the priority for the Kingdom is to push the Israelis and Palestinians back to the dialogue table, stressing that this is the only way to establish sustainable peace in the region.
