Saudi Arabia participates in a high-level delegation at the Davos forum
Under the chairmanship of His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of foreign affairs, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating with a high-level delegation in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum 2024, in the Swiss city of Davos from January 15 to 19, under the slogan "enhancing trust".
The delegation includes HRH Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States of America, H. E. Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, H. E. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet member and climate envoy Mr. Adel bin Ahmed al-Jubeir, H. E. Minister of investment Eng.Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, H. E. Minister of Finance Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, H. E. Minister of communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Amer Al-Swaha, and H. E. Minister of industry the minister of economy and Planning, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim al-khorayef, and His Excellency the minister of economy and Planning, Mr. Faisal bin Fadel al-Ibrahim.
During its participation in the forum, the Saudi delegation will discuss the most prominent current challenges and the importance of addressing them through enhancing international cooperation, supporting economic integration, sustaining resources, benefiting from innovation and technical solutions, as well as the need to explore the opportunities offered by emerging technology and its impact on the policy and decision-making process in the international community.
He will also highlight the progress that has been achieved within the framework of the kingdom's Vision 2030, the transformation and development process that the kingdom is witnessing in various fields, and the investment opportunities available in many sectors, which aim to reach a prosperous, diversified economy that is open to opportunities for joint cooperation.
It is also planned that the Saudi delegation will share the kingdom's experiences in improving competitiveness and enhancing its attractiveness as a destination for private and foreign investment, and the delegation will review the best solutions and practices developed by the kingdom to enhance the flexibility of the economy and achieve financial sustainability in line with its ambitions for economic diversification and sustainable growth, in line with the kingdom's Vision 2030.
The Fifty-fourth annual meeting of the World Economic Forum will be held under the theme" Enhancing trust " to discuss ways of cooperation between the public and private sectors in order to explore future opportunities, review solutions and developments within various economic and development sectors within the framework of international cooperation and joint work between governments and various institutions, where representatives of more than 100 governments and major international organizations and more than 1000 of the most important international companies in the private sector, in addition to many representatives of civil society institutions, academic institutions and think tanks.
