Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia for the fifth consecutive year .. It launches on January 5

Followers of Desert Car Racing are waiting for the launch of the fifth edition of the Saudi Dakar Rally 2024.
The competitors have completed their final preparations to participate in the 46th edition of the world's greatest motorsport challenge and rally, hosted in full by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the fifth consecutive year.

The participants will start from the city of Alula on January 5, 2024, and the competitions will conclude in Yanbu on January 19, with the participation of a selection of international drivers and cyclists.

Drivers start their journey this year with an introductory stage from the starting camp in Alula, before embarking on a journey through many cities of the Kingdom, and this year the route passes hanakiya, duadmi, Salamiyah, Hofuf, shabita, Riyadh, Hail and Yanbu, for a total distance exceeding 7891 km, including 4827 km of special timed stages.

10 Saudi drivers are participating in the competitions this year: Yazeed Al-Rajhi in the "T1" category, Ibrahim al-Muhanna in the "stock" category, while Saleh Al-Seef, Dania Akil and Mashael Al-Obaidan participate in the "T3" category, Yasser bin Saidan and Maha Al-Hamali participate in the "T4" category, Tarek al-Ramah competes in the "T5" category, while Abdul Halim al-Mughira participates in the "motorcycles" category, and Hani al-numsi participates in the "quads"category.
