The World Energy Council announced that the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of energy, will host the twenty-seventh edition of the world energy conference during the period from 26 to 29 of October 2026, in Riyadh.

The kingdom received this hosting after highly competitive offers were made available from all members of the national committees in the council, which number more than 70 members representing more than 3 thousand organizations from the entire energy system.

On this occasion, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, said: "We are pleased in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host the world energy conference for the year 2026, at this time, which represents an important stage for the global energy sector, and there is no doubt that the World Energy Conference, which was launched a century ago, enjoys a special place among the leaders of the energy sector in the world, as a global event vision "Saudi Arabia 2030", I assure all the participants who will attend the conference that they will have a world-class conference from all sides, held within the framework of hospitality and Saudi hospitality,"he said.

For his part, Dr. Mike Howard, chairman of the Council of leaders at the World Energy Council, said: "the competitive offer of the kingdom clearly demonstrated its strategic vision for the world energy conference, as the offer included strong institutional and governmental support, and the world energy conference at its twenty-seventh session celebrates the legacy of this event with the kingdom's strategic vision for the future of energy in today's changing world.

The World Energy Congress brings together more than 150 Executive Speakers, more than 250 speakers, 70 ministers, and more than 7,000 international energy stakeholders, connecting sectors, geographies, and systems to achieve a more equitable energy transition.

The kingdom of Saudi Arabia will become the official host of the world energy conference after the upcoming twenty-sixth edition of the world energy conference in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The kingdom organizes its pavilion during this important event. The conference will be held every two years after the conference in April 2024.
