Successfully completed the unloading of the floating tank "Safir".. Great Saudi international efforts

The United Nations announced on Friday the end of the operation to withdraw the cargo of the dilapidated oil tanker "Safir" off the Yemeni port of Hodeidah, pointing to the withdrawal of more than one million barrels of oil from it and thus the imminent danger of a leak.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the announcement of the United Nations on the completion of the withdrawal of crude oil from the floating reservoir "Safir", estimated at(1.14) million barrels of crude oil.
The ministry reiterated the kingdom's appreciation for the efforts of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the UN team who worked to harness all efforts to end the problem of the floating reservoir "Safir", and expressed its appreciation for the generous financial support from donor countries for the financial grants provided by the donation campaign to end the threat of the floating reservoir "Safir", as the kingdom was one of the first donor countries to provide financial grants through the King Salman Center for relief and humanitarian works as part of its efforts with the international community to solve the problem of the floating reservoir "Safir".
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked the leadership of the "coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen" for its support to facilitate the operation of the operational plan until the completion of the unloading of the floating tank "Safir" successfully and competently.
