The Saudi Ministry of information launches the Virtual Media Center " VPC " for the Hajj season
The Saudi Ministry of information has launched the Virtual Media Center " VPC " for the 1444h Hajj season, which aims to support the integration of media efforts in the Hajj, produce, provide and broadcast content, and facilitate the tasks of covering the hajj for media professionals from all over the world.
The Virtual Media Center works as an electronic platform, through which virtual media services are provided to government agencies and the media, which participate in covering the Hajj season, by uploading news materials, photos and videos in high quality, to benefit about 900 media registered on the platform, representing a number of news agencies, newspapers and international and local channels.
The center enables journalists to participate virtually in the press conferences accompanying the Hajj season, which are broadcast live in several languages, where .
Any journalist registered at the center can also request any information service, such as meeting with an official, inquiring about any media topic, or requesting data, information and statistics related to the Hajj.
The launch of the virtual center coincides with the start of the media operations room in Makkah, which includes a number of different and specialized teams representing the Ministry of Information System and other government agencies.
The media operations room has started its work by launching the unified visual and verbal Hajj Media ID for the Hajj season this year 1444 Ah under the slogan "safe and secure", and making it available for use by all government and private agencies participating in the hajj, which can be downloaded :
