The Saudi Energy Minister meets the German Chancellor.. His Highness attended two climate and hydrogen meetings

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, met today, Wednesday, with the German Chancellor, Olavschultz, in the presence of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Council of Ministers, and Envoy for Climate Affairs, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.
They discussed enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields of energy, clean hydrogen, and confronting climate change.


And before meeting the German chancellor; His Highness attended the Petersberg Climate Dialogue, which was held in Germany during the period 2-3 May, which dealt with issues related to confronting climate change on a global scale.
Within the framework of Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, to the Federal Republic of Germany, the Ministry of Energy, in cooperation with the German Ministry of Economy and Climate Action, organized today, Wednesday, a round table meeting.
His Highness the Minister of Energy presided over the Saudi side in this meeting, in which representatives of the Public Investment Fund and a number of energy system companies participated. On the German side, it was attended by Deputy Chancellor and Minister of Economy and Climate Action Robert Habeck, and a number of major German companies operating in the field of energy.
Topics discussed at the meeting included; Cooperation in the fields of electricity, clean energy, hydrogen, and emissions management, through carbon capture, utilization, recycling and storage projects, within the circular carbon economy approach.

At the beginning of this visit, the Ministry of Energy organized the "Saudi-German Energy Day", in which more than 120 Saudi and German companies working in the fields of energy participated.
During the visit, His Highness the Minister of Energy also met with the President of the Federal Chancellery, Federal Minister for Special Missions Wolfgang Schmidt, and the Minister of State in the Federal Chancellery, responsible for economic, financial and European affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jubeir.
During the meeting, His Highness discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries in various economic fields, especially in the field of energy.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman also met with the Minister of State, the Special Envoy for International Climate Action at the German Foreign Ministry, Jennifer Morgan, in the presence of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, a member of the Council of Ministers, and the Envoy for Climate Affairs. During the meeting, issues of common interest between the two countries were discussed in the field of climate action. And preparing for the Conference of the Parties to the Climate Change Convention (COP28), which will be held in the United Arab Emirates, at the end of this year.
