RIYADH - His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef revealed five new mining opportunities to discover copper, zinc, silver and lead ores for local and foreign investors, in conjunction with the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in the International Conference on Mining and Resources (IMARC) in Sydney, Australia from 2 to 4 November 2022.
His Excellency the Minister’s announcement of mining investment opportunities on Thursday comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts within the accelerated exploration initiative announced by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources earlier this year, as it aims to exploit the mineral wealth in the Kingdom and achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in raising the contributions of the mining sector to the output It aims to diversify the economic base in the Kingdom, and to make mining the third pillar of the national industry.
The ministry will announce at a later time the opening of the door for progress on the five public competitions; This is to confirm the application of what is stated in the mining investment system and to achieve justice and transparency in mining competitions in the Kingdom in a manner that ensures the integration of the legislative environment with policies and infrastructure and to provide an attractive environment for local and international investments.
