Saudi Arabia is looking into cooperation opportunities with major American space companies
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a number of bilateral meetings with American space companies in Washington today, represented by the Saudi Space Authority, on the sidelines of the official visit of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Authority, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha to the United States of America.
During the bilateral meetings, he discussed ways to enhance relations between the two friendly countries, and opportunities for joint cooperation in light of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, as well as ways to enhance innovation and pioneering projects and transfer advanced technologies and localize them in the space sector.
His Excellency met with: Chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin James D. Taichlet, Chairman and CEO of Voyager Space Corporation Dylan Taylor, and Executive Vice President of Boeing Lian J. Carrett.
These meetings witnessed the attendance of His Excellency the President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Dr. Munir bin Mahmoud Al-Desouki, and His Excellency the Acting CEO of the Saudi Space Authority, Dr. Muhammad bin Saud Al-Tamimi.
