Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques chairs Cabinet session
King Salman thanked the people of the Kingdom and appreciated the leaders of friendly and brotherly countries for their noble sentiments and wished everyone health and wellness.
Today, Tuesday, 19 Shaaban 1443 AH, corresponding to March 22, 2022 AD, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, presided over the Cabinet session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.
It was stated in the session:
The Kingdom’s support for efforts aimed at settling disputes by peaceful means.
- Developing the submerged Al-Durra field in the Arabian Gulf.
The Council considered the hostile attacks carried out by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia to target civilian objects and vital and economic facilities in the Kingdom in a systematic and deliberate manner, as a dangerous escalation.
Emphasizing that the Kingdom will not be held responsible for any shortage of oil supplies to global markets.
Continuing to support Yemen with relief and humanitarian programs in coordination with international and international partners.
Welcoming the decision of the United Nations General Assembly to adopt March 15 of each year as the International Day for the Elimination of Islamophobia.
- Approval of the accession of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Pacific Alliance as an observer member.
- A draft agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt regarding the investment of the Public Investment Fund in Egypt.
- Approval of a memorandum of cooperation in the field of intellectual property between the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
