NEOM launches the name" maqna " in its new destinations overlooking the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba .. The project includes 12 main destinations .. Beyond luxury Saudi tourism

The board of Directors of NEOM announced the project "makna", the coastal zone of NEOM for luxury tourism on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, which represents a qualitative addition to the portfolio of leading and sustainable tourism projects being developed in NEOM.  The project includes 12 main destinations, namely: "Liga", "ibikon", "Serana", "utamo", "nurlana", "aquilem", "zardon", "Zennor", "alanan", "kidori", "triam", "Gomor".

Thanks to its unique location, environmental diversity and innovative model, "mekna" embodies a global destination for nature tourism, which supports the National Tourism Strategy and contributes to the achievement of the kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to promote economic growth and diversification, as well as the progress and acceleration of construction and development work in NEOM.

"Makna" is distinguished by its exceptional tourist experiences, designed according to the highest standards of sustainability and environmental preservation, where its destinations highlight the natural diversity of the Kingdom and raise the quality of life through its facilities and projects that mix the best architectural innovations, advanced technologies and exceptional experiences, which contributes to strengthening the kingdom's position as a leading global tourist destination.

With various destinations stretching for about 120 kilometers," maqna " will be a new global standard in the world of luxury nature tourism, as it will be developed to be enhanced with the latest advanced technologies, it will feature world-class advanced engineering designs and modern facilities that merge with the surrounding natural environment and offer a number of unique experiences in the hospitality and leisure sector.

"Maqna" will include 15 luxury hotels, comprising more than 1,600 rooms, suites and hotel apartments, accommodating more than 300,000 guests annually, as well as more than 2,500 high-end residential units. Each of the "makna" destinations has different characteristics and experiences from others in terms of the services, activities and experiences that it will provide to residents and guests, while these destinations are fully integrated to form a unique identity that works to achieve commitment to the vision of NEOM through the preservation and rehabilitation of biodiversity and the surrounding nature.

The 12 "maqna" destinations will serve as catalysts for economic activity in the kingdom, providing 15,000 jobs in the tourism, leisure and hospitality sectors. The project is expected to contribute about SAR 2.6 billion to the kingdom's GDP by 2030. Meqna is the latest pilot project being developed in NEOM, which includes the city of "line", the city of"oxachon "for advanced and clean industries in NEOM, the mountain tourism project"trogina" and the luxury island "sandala".
