عقب نسختين ناجحتين منذ عام 2020، يعود "صحراء X العلا" في نسخته الثالثة في الفترة من 9 فبراير إلى 23 مارس 2024، حيث يعرض أعمالاً فنية معاصرة ذات رؤية لفنانين سعوديين وعالميين، وسط المناظر الطبيعية الصحراوية الاستثنائية في العلا وهي منطقة صحراوية ساحرة تقع في شمال غرب المملكة العربية السعودية. تعتبر العلا وجهة عالمية لعشاق الفن الأثري لغناها بالتجارب الفريدة المستمدّة من روح المكان الآسر. كما يدعو المعرض الفنانين لخوض حوارٍ مع البيئة الصحراوية والمناظر الطبيعية الفريدة والمعالم الأثرية في العلا، ليستلهموا منها أعمالاً مميزة تنبع من البيئة المحلية ويتردد صداها مع عشاق الفن في جميع أنحاء العالم.
تحت عنوان " في حضرة الغياب"، يطرح المعرض - يُقام في إطار مهرجان فنون العلا ، تساؤلات عميقة عن "ما لا يمكن رؤيته؟". إذ غالباً ما يُستهان بالصحاري، باعتبارها لا تعدو كونها مساحاتٍ من الفراغ تبدو صامتة بلا حراك، غير أن هناك ما هو أكثر بكثير مما تراه العين. قد دُعي الفنانون المشاركون في المعرض إلى استكشاف الأفكار التي تدور حول ما لا تراه الأعين ولا يكون جلياً في الواقع.
يقدم المعرض 15 عملاً إبداعياً يدور حول الأشياء العظيمة المخفية التي لا يمكن للعين رؤيتها - يفتح المعرض أبوابه للجميع مجاناً -.

Opening of the third edition of the international art exhibition " Desert X Alula "

Following two successful editions since 2020, "Desert X Alula" returns in its third edition from February 9 to March 23, 2024, where it showcases visionary contemporary artworks by Saudi and international artists, amidst the exceptional desert landscapes of Alula, a charming desert area located in the north-west of Saudi Arabia. Alula is a global destination for lovers of archaeological art for its richness in unique experiences derived from the spirit of a captivating place. The exhibition also invites artists to engage in a dialogue with the desert environment, unique landscapes and archaeological monuments in Alula, to be inspired by distinctive works emanating from the local environment and resonating with art lovers all over the world.
Under the title "in the presence of absence", the exhibition-held in the framework of the Alula Arts Festival, raises profound questions about "what can not be seen?"". Deserts are often underestimated, as nothing more than spaces of emptiness that seem silent and motionless, but there is much more than meets the eye. The artists participating in the exhibition were invited to explore ideas about what the eyes do not see and is not visible in reality.
The exhibition presents 15 Creative Works about hidden great things that the eye cannot see-the exhibition opens its doors to everyone for free -.
