Saudi Arabia Tops the World in Growth of International Tourism Revenues

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked first globally as the top international tourism destination in terms of growth in international tourism revenues during the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2019.
This is according to the UN Tourism Barometer report issued in May 2025 by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

According to the report, Saudi Arabia also ranked:

Third globally in terms of growth in international tourist arrivals during Q1 2025 compared to Q1 2019.

Second in the Middle East for the same period.

The Kingdom recorded a 102% increase in international tourist arrivals during the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same quarter in 2019 — surpassing both:

the global average growth rate of 3%, and

the Middle East average of 44%.

This global leadership in tourism indicators reflects the Kingdom’s effective efforts in developing the tourism sector, and its steady progress toward achieving the ambitious goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
