Construction work continues on Lahaq Island, one of the islands within the Red Sea destination and the first private residential island in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The island features two luxury resorts, upscale residential units, and fully integrated leisure and sports facilities, centered around the iconic architectural landmark “The Ring”, which forms the vibrant heart of the new community.

Lahaq is scheduled to open in 2028, becoming the first island to offer private residential ownership within the Red Sea destination—combining refined privacy, world-class hospitality services, and a holistic lifestyle that blends sports, leisure, and culture.

The island was designed by Foster + Partners under the Forever Garden concept, incorporating natural wood and dense vegetation to establish a balanced relationship between architecture and nature.

The Ring – a circular structure with an 800-meter diameter, housing residences, resorts, and retail spaces, overlooking a private beach and a scenic lagoon.

Regenerative Tourism… Responsible Luxury

Lahaq embodies the philosophy of regenerative tourism, which goes beyond environmental preservation to actively enhancing ecosystems, through initiatives led by Red Sea Global, including:

Planting 50 million mangrove trees.

Protecting unique coral reef systems.

Operating the destination entirely on 100% renewable energy.

By 2030, the Red Sea destination will include:
