FedEx Opens Advanced Logistics Center in Qatar

The Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ), in partnership with FedEx Logistics, a subsidiary of FedEx Corporation, has officially inaugurated a new state-of-the-art logistics center in the Ras Bufontas Free Zone.

🔹 Official Attendance
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer of QFZ, and Mr. Patrick Moebel, President of FedEx Logistics, along with several senior officials from both sides. The launch comes as part of the ongoing partnership between QFZ and FedEx, based on the agreement signed in 2024.

🔹 Center Specifications
The new facility covers an area of 1,249 m² and includes warehouses, storage facilities, and fully equipped office spaces. It will be operated by FedEx Logistics Qatar LLC, licensed under the Qatar Free Zones. The center will serve as a key hub for FedEx’s shipping and logistics scheduling operations in the region.

🔹 Strategic Location
Ideally located in the Ras Bufontas Free Zone, near Hamad International Airport and Hamad Port, the new FedEx center strengthens operational efficiency and establishes itself as a major platform to support trade and logistics services between Qatar and the world.
