Saudia Signs New Deal with Airbus: 20 A330neo Aircraft

Saudia Group announced today the signing of a new agreement with aircraft manufacturer Airbus to acquire 20 wide-body A330neo aircraft, including 10 aircraft designated for its low-cost carrier, flyadeal.

The signing ceremony took place at the Airbus manufacturing facility in Toulouse, France, in the presence of His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, the Kingdom’s Ambassador to France Fahd bin Muayouf Al-Ruwaili, and Christian Scherer, Chief Commercial Officer at Airbus.

📈 A Deal That Supports National Ambitions

Eng. Al-Omar highlighted that the deal is part of the group’s ambitious strategy to modernize and expand its fleet, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. He also noted that last year Saudia signed a larger deal with Airbus for a total of 105 new aircraft.

This move serves as a key enabler to achieving strategic goals of reaching 250 destinations, transporting 330 million passengers and 150 million tourists, and positioning the Kingdom as a leading hub in global aviation.

✈️ Toward an Integrated Logistic Future

Saudia Group currently operates a fleet of 194 aircraft, serving commercial, low-cost, cargo, and logistics operations. The group plans to receive an additional 191 aircraft in the coming years.

This expansion affirms the group's commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, fleet and network development, and integration of maintenance and infrastructure systems—a reflection of the dynamic transformation underway in the Kingdom’s aviation and air transport sector.
