Saudi Arabia is the first in the Arab world and the 14th globally in the global index of artificial intelligence

The kingdom of Saudi Arabia achieved the 14th position globally and the first Arab position in the global index of artificial intelligence approved by the United Nations, represented by the advisory body for artificial intelligence, out of 83 countries in the world, and continued to lead the first place globally in the standard of government strategy for artificial intelligence according to the same indicator, in a move confirming that the kingdom is the fastest progressing country in the world in artificial intelligence by advancing 17 ranks within the index.
In this indicator, the kingdom also achieved the seventh place globally in the artificial intelligence trade standard, which confirms the kingdom's commitment to adopt and develop the field of artificial intelligence, invest in its technologies and build national capacities in this field.
The index, which was launched in 2019, classifies the artificial intelligence landscape across seven main indicators: government strategy, operational environment, infrastructure, research and development, competencies, and trade, with 122 criteria branching from which 83 countries participate.
This achievement confirms the continuous and continuous support of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and chairman of the board of Directors of the Saudi authority for data and artificial intelligence, to carry out its role in promoting the field of data and artificial intelligence, providing the possibilities related to data and forward-looking capabilities and enhancing them with continuous innovation in the field of artificial intelligence, to ensure the advancement of the kingdom to leadership within the economies based on data and artificial intelligence.
Sadaya led the national trend for data and artificial intelligence to achieve the aspirations of His Highness The Crown Prince and the goals of the kingdom's Vision 2030, and worked on the development of the national strategy for data and artificial intelligence in order to unify efforts and launch national initiatives in data and artificial intelligence and make optimal use of them.
