The Mount Uhud Viewpoint project in Madinah is being developed as an integrated tourism destination that reimagines one of the city’s most iconic historical landmarks through a modern vision that blends heritage with technology, offering visitors a rich, interactive experience beyond traditional sightseeing.

The project includes a wide range of attractions, such as a wellness retreat, a castle zone, an astronomical observatory with telescopes, hiking trails, a chocolate museum, and a zipline experience, creating a multi-dimensional destination that reflects the natural and historical depth of Mount Uhud.

The Smart Mount Uhud Zone represents a major leap in enhancing the visitor experience, using advanced technologies to upgrade services, support cultural tourism, and promote sustainable development in Madinah.

These technologies have strengthened the area’s digital infrastructure, improved lighting systems, enhanced safety and security, and optimized visitor flow management. Innovative solutions, including an AI-powered control center and a connected camera network, have proven effective in smart monitoring, proactive risk management, and rapid response to visitor feedback.

The project also balances technological development with environmental preservation through eco-friendly lighting systems, making it a leading model for the sustainable management of heritage sites that can be replicated elsewhere.

The Madinah Municipality has given high priority to the rehabilitation of Mount Uhud through this project, aiming to enhance visitor comfort, highlight the site’s historical significance, and protect the surrounding natural environment.

Mount Uhud is one of Madinah’s most important historical landmarks, located to the north of the city and surrounded by natural vegetation such as acacia and sidr trees, adding to its environmental and tourism value.
